Lever Press, a library-funded Platinum Open Access book publishing initiative, was officially launched in 2016 by libraries committed to open access and the liberal arts. The nearly fifty member institutions elect representatives to govern the press and make five-year financial commitments which have enabled us to create a publishing enterprise from scratch and to produce four books to date with five more that will be released during the spring semester. As this initial phase draws to a close, we are gearing up for our next chapter. In this project briefing, we will describe important developments made in the past year, lessons learned, plans in the works for the coming year, and ways to get involved.
